Description

The Clutch Masters FX850 is a high-performance 8.5-inch (216mm) twin disc clutch designed specifically for Nissan S13 and S14 chassis equipped with SR20 engines. Ideal for engines and transmissions with smaller bell housings, this clutch delivers advanced racing technology combined with reliable street performance.

This twin disc system is engineered to handle significant horsepower and torque levels while maintaining a reasonable pedal pressure that supports confidence and control on the track. By increasing the clamping force of the pressure plate and expanding the effective disc area, the FX850 achieves approximately 50% higher clamping force compared to traditional single-disc setups, depending on application.

Durable and Lightweight Cover Assembly

The cover assembly is precision machined from billet aluminum and finished with Type 3 hard anodizing for enhanced strength and corrosion resistance. This billet construction offers roughly 25% more tensile strength than typical cast components, resulting in exceptional rigidity with minimal weight.

Our billet covers flex just 0.003 inches under load, significantly less than cast or stamped units which may flex up to 0.030 inches. This reduced flex ensures that all diaphragm movement from the throwout bearing is effectively used to engage and disengage the clutch without loss, providing consistent, predictable clutch operation.
