Mazworx VVL External Oil Feed Line Kit

The Mazworx VVL External Oil Feed Line Kit is designed specifically for those installing a Variable Valve Lift (VVL) head on a non-VVL block while continuing to use the factory solenoid block. This setup is commonly needed when fitting a P12 (8H6) VVL head on rear-wheel-drive (RWD) applications or in front-wheel-drive (FWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.

To ensure proper lubrication, this kit facilitates an external oil feed to the head. The recommended installation involves removing the factory ball bearing from the rear of the head and tapping it with a 1/8″ NPT thread to allow for the oil feed connection. Additionally, the original feed hole on the deck of the head must be tapped 1/8″ NPT, with the plug positioned slightly below the deck surface for optimal fitment.

The oil feed line connects to the oil filter housing or an oil filter relocation block to supply consistent oil flow to the VVL head. The kit includes a BSPT to NPT adapter if required, accommodating different thread standards. Note that the adapter may not be visible in some images if the oil filter housing has been retapped to 1/8″ NPT threads.
