Main Bearing Selection

Most SR20 engine blocks utilize the single hole main bearing. For applications requiring the 5-hole bearing (5M2975H series), machining the oil groove on the block is necessary unless you have a GTi-R or VE block, which come pre-equipped with this feature from the factory.

Rod Bearing Selection

The standard rod bearing size for most SR20 engines is 17mm wide. Some aftermarket rods require machining to accommodate the wider 19mm bearing. Additionally, the GTi-R and certain VET engines come factory-fitted with the 19mm rod bearings.

Optional Calico Coating

ACL offers the option to have your bearings coated with Calico’s CT-1 Dry Film Lubricant Coating. This specialized coating enhances performance by reducing friction and abrasive wear, providing intermittent dry lubrication that is resistant to dust and dirt. Dowel Rod Bearings for Aluminum Rods Option
