Mazworx SR20DET S13 RWD Long Block Stage 2

The Mazworx SR20DET S13 RWD Long Block Stage 2 is a comprehensive and meticulously rebuilt engine designed to deliver up to 600 horsepower for the Nissan S13 chassis. This long block offers an advanced upgrade beyond the Stage 0.8 level, featuring extensively refurbished and replaced components for enhanced performance and reliability. Each engine undergoes a thorough spin and priming with break-in oil prior to delivery, ensuring optimal condition right from installation.

Stage 2.1 Short Block

The short block assembly is expertly disassembled, cleaned, and machined with precision to meet exacting standards:

• Disassembly, hot tank cleaning, and sandblasting of the block
• Removal, retapping, and replacement of oil port plugs
• Machining for threaded freeze plugs and installation of Darton sleeves
• Cylinder resizing with torque plate honing and step decking
• Line bore resizing and oil groove machining specific to the SR20
• Machining of 19mm rod bearing journals
• Cleaning, inspection, polishing, and balancing of the crankshaft
• Assembly of the short block with high-quality components

Upgraded parts include CP 90mm pistons with 9:1 compression ratio and reinforced wrist pins, Manley Turbo Tuff rods (or equivalent), ACL race bearings, an S14/S15 SR20DET oil pump, Mazworx main stud kit, threaded and O-ringed freeze plug kit, front oil squirter, custom water pipe or plug, billet breather adapter, and various seals and plugs required for the build.

Stage 2 Cylinder Head

The cylinder head receives precision work to enhance airflow and durability:

• Complete disassembly and hot tank cleaning
• Removal and replacement of oil port plugs with threaded versions
• Machining for threaded freeze plugs
• CNC porting and combustion chamber refinement
• Valve guide removal, reaming, and reinstallation
• Multi-angle valve job and rocker arm grinding for dual guide setup
• Rocker level adjustment and head resurfacing
• Final assembly with performance components

Installed parts include Supertech +1mm intake valves, +1mm exhaust valves with 6mm stems, titanium valve retainers, dual spring kit rated at 90 lbs, bronze valve guides, valve stem seals, Mazworx threaded and O-ringed freeze plug kit, a Kelford camshaft set (HLA 188-B, 268/272 cam profiles), plus all necessary plugs and freeze plugs.

Complete Long Block Assembly

The final assembly stage ensures a turnkey long block ready for installation:

• Assembly of the fully built long block
• Spin and prime for oil flow and pressure verification

Key installed components include a Mazworx/Power Enterprise full grommet head gasket (90mm x 1.2mm), ATI SR20 RWD street damper, timing chain kit with Mazworx tensioner, engine bolt kit, Kelford adjustable cam gears, a GReddy high-capacity oil pan, powder-coated and serviced valve cover with washer kit, and all necessary seals and gaskets.
