Comprehensive Rebuild Process

Each Stage 1 cylinder head begins its transformation through a series of carefully executed steps to ensure optimal condition and performance:

• Hot Tank Cleaning: All oil and grime residues are thoroughly removed, leaving the head clean and prepped.
• Sand Blasting: Removing corrosion and debris accumulated over years, resulting in a uniform satin aluminum finish for improved aesthetics and longevity.
• Removal and Replacement of Oil Port and Freeze Plugs: Oil port plugs are removed, re-tapped, and reinstalled to enable thorough cleaning of all oil galleys. Freeze plugs are also replaced to maintain the integrity of the cooling system.
• Valve Guide Service: Worn valve guides are removed, reamed, and replaced with durable Supertech bronze guides for both intake and exhaust, restoring precise valve operation.
• Port and Polish (Stage 1): Blending the valve seat and bowl areas enhances airflow while maintaining the OEM port casting characteristics.
• Optional Multi-Angle Valve Job: Multiple angles and radius cuts can be added to the valve seat for improved flow dynamics within the 90mm chamber.
• Surfacing: The cylinder head is resurfaced using a poly-crystalline diamond (PCD) tool to ensure a perfectly flat and smooth surface.
• Valve Seal Replacement: New Viton valve seals are installed to ensure reliable sealing and reduce oil consumption.
• Assembly: Installation of Supertech standard size intake valves, Inconel exhaust valves, single spring kits with titanium retainers, bronze valve guides, and other components.
• Set Rocker Level: Rocker arms are set precisely to the camshaft using existing guides and shims to optimize valve timing and operation.
