The Mazworx 2JZ Block Stage 3 is a premium prepped engine block designed for serious DIY builders aiming to build a high-performance Toyota 2JZ engine capable of up to 1800 horsepower. This Stage 3 package incorporates precision machining and quality enhancements to ensure durability, reliability, and optimal performance for both street and strip applications.

Professional Machining and Preparation

Each block undergoes a comprehensive cleaning and machining process using advanced CNC and honing equipment to guarantee precision and lasting quality.

• Hot Tank Cleaning: Thoroughly removes oil, grime, and contaminants from the block.
• Sand Blast and Paint: The block is sand blasted for a refreshed surface finish then coated with semi-gloss black paint to protect and present a clean appearance.
• Bore Process: Precision boring on a 3-axis CNC machine centers the cylinders accurately, followed by diamond-tool honing using the latest Sunnen SV-10 cylinder hone for superior cylinder surface finishing.
• Main Studs, Caps, and Line Bore: Main caps are custom-machined and ground, with line boring and honing performed to meet factory specifications, ensuring perfect alignment and fitment.
• Surfacing: The deck surface is finished using a coated CBN cutter to create a true and flat sealing surface.

Enhanced Sealing and Durability Features

• Threaded O-ring Oil Gallery Plugs: Original oil port plugs are removed to allow better cleaning. The oil gallery holes are CNC machined to accept threaded plugs with O-rings for a reliable and reusable seal.
• Threaded O-ring Freeze Plugs: Freeze plug holes are CNC machined for Mazworx’s threaded O-ring freeze plugs to prevent leaks and popping under high boost conditions.
• Honing with Torque Plate: Honing is performed with a custom torque plate simulating the cylinder head torque, improving bore accuracy when the engine is assembled. This is essential for sleeved blocks and optional on stock sleeve blocks.

Additional Options and Included Parts

• GE to GTE Conversion: For those with 2JZ-GE cores, machining provisions for oil squirters and turbo oil feed are available to convert the block to GTE specification.
• CNC Rod Notch: Precision CNC machining removes just enough material to clear rods, compatible with most aluminum rods up to 86mm stroke and steel rods up to 94mm stroke.
